Vivien Cardone as Delia Brown

< Back to the Cast Section

Vivien Cardone Although 12-year-old Vivien Cardone does not have many credits to her name, the ones she does have may be an indication of where she's headed. When she was just 6 years old, Cardone was selected by director Ron Howard and star Russell Crowe to play the role of Marcee, John Nash's imaginary young friend, in the critically acclaimed and Academy Award-winning film "A Beautiful Mind." She and her mother received the exciting news 15 minutes after leaving the audition.

Born in Port Jefferson, New York, and raised on Long Island, Cardone followed in her older sister's footsteps and began appearing in commercials when she was only 3 months old. Her first commercials were public service announcements for recycling and vaccinations. She has gone on to appear in several national campaigns for such companies as Pillsbury and Pizza Hut.

Cardone loves to help those less fortunate. She sponsors a child in India and gives to many animal rescue organizations. She recently organized an eBay auction for tsunami victims in which she donated her Daisy Rock electric guitar, and she raised money in Park City to help victims of the winter floods in Utah.

Her hobbies include swimming, Rollerblading, hiking and Irish step dancing, for which she has won awards. Cardone is working on a record album with a new group called DOV, which includes her old sister, Olivia. In addition to her parents and siblings, Cardone shares her family's Long Island home with numerous pets.
